They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but on Sunday night, pop culture lovers everywhere were treated to a festival of debauchery and fun at the Billboard Music Awards, which were held in Sin City and broadcast live on ABC.

There were two kisses that will certainly have people talking for days. When Britney Spears took the stage with Rihanna for their sexy performance of "S&M," the two shared a kiss. Of course, Spears isn't new to onstage girl-on-girl lip-locks, having shared one with Madonna back in 2003. On Sunday, Spears also took the stage with Nicki Minaj, but no spit was swapped during that other girl-power performance.

Perhaps a more surprising kiss occurred when Justin Bieber kissed girlfriend Selena Gomez after it was announced that he won the award for Top New Artist. Although he didn't mention her name in his speech, according to, Bieber later praised his lady love in the press room, saying, 'She's amazing.' Bieber took home five other awards Sunday night.

Beyoncé, honored with the Millennium Award, received taped tributes from Bono, First Lady Michelle Obama, The-Dream, Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand and Lady Gaga. As memorable as her performance was thanks to some eye-catching visuals, killer dance moves and that barely there outfit, her shout-out to Jay-Z certainly stood out. "I love me some Jay-Z," she said, after calling him her "best friend."

Bey also thanked those who have been in Destiny's Child, including founding members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson as well as Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams; Rowland and Williams were in the crowd cheering their girl on.

Justin Bieber tied with Eminem as the top winner at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards with six trophies. But it was his embrace of reported sweetie Selena Gomez that set the Internet on fire after a night that saw splashy performances from Rihanna, an upside-down Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Mary J. Blige with Lil Wayne, Taio Cruz, the Black Eyed Peas and Pitbull.

Bieber's awards included trophies for Top New Artist, Top Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Digital Media Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Streaming Song at his first-ever trip to the show. Meanwhile, veteran Eminem (who was not in Las Vegas for the show) nabbed Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Song and Top Rap Album for his smash comeback, Recovery.

Six artists were just behind with three wins each, including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Usher, Mumford & Sons and Cruz. Though Bieber and Gomez have kept their relationship under wraps for months, the "Baby" singer kissed and hugged Gomez before taking the stage to accept an award.

The show featured a number of performances, two of which included surprise appearances from a lip-synching Britney Spears. The pop diva literally popped up out of the floor to join Rihanna for "S&M," writhing on a stripper pole while brandishing a pair of diamond handcuffs. The two finished things off with a pillow fight and a kiss. She also topped off a performance of Minaj's "Super Bass" with a bit of her own "Till the World Ends."

Weezy teamed up with Blige for the remix of 'Someone to Love Me (Naked).' Green wore a sparkly outer-space outfit while playing piano and singing a medley of his hits ('Crazy,' 'Bright Lights Bigger City' and 'Forget You'); he levitated over the stage and pounded the keys of his silver piano while hanging upside down at one point.

But perhaps the biggest moment of the night was when Beyoncé was presented with the prestigious Billboard Millennium Award, which was preceded by a video honoring her with testimonials from First Lady Michelle Obama, Bono, Lady Gaga, Bey's parents and sister Solange, Stevie Wonder, The-Dream and Barbra Streisand.

She accepted the award after an eye-popping performance of her new single, 'Run the World (Girls),' which was highlighted by a breathtaking digital background featuring a shifting array of effects that produced a legion of virtual backup dancers and CGI-like movie effects.

Out of breath from her performance, Beyoncé thanked her mother and father for teaching her about hard work, as well as former Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, past DC members and, in a break with their usual low-key nature, husband Jay-Z.

'I'd also like to thank my best friend, and I don't want to put you on the spot because I know they're probably putting a camera in your face right now, but I love me some Jay-Z,' she said with a smile.

A number of artists also took home two awards apiece, including Katy Perry, Shakira and Train.

Justin Bieber 'Real Hairstyle' Dolls Keep Swoop Alive

Justin Bieber 'Real Hairstyle' Dolls Keep Swoop Alive: "

We hit a New York toy fair for scoop on the latest dolls, including a first look at an mp3-equipped, purple Bieber tour bus.

If you're still mourning the loss of Justin Bieber's luscious locks, there's some news that could very well perk you up (and, no, it hasn't grown back yet). Just days before the 'Never Say Never' star chopped off his trademark coif, toy company Bridge Direct debuted Justin Bieber 'Real Hairstyle' dolls at the American International Toy Fair in New York.

MTV News caught up with George Vorkas of Bridge Direct, who give us the rundown on everything fans can expect from the doll, whose retail price is set at $17.99 and is slated to hit shelves this August.

After the company received complaints about their first Bieber model, which featured plastic hair, Vorkas and his associates gave the 2011 model 'real' hair.

'This year, we have Justin with hair. Every girl at home can now play with his hair and style it the way they want,' Vorkas explained.

In addition to styling their toy Biebs — like the original, it "sings," only this time newer hits like "U Smile" and "Never Say Never" have been added — fans can also put him on the road. The company has created a purple (naturally) Bieber tour bus, complete with a functioning mp3 player dock and a stage setup that includes guitar, drums, keyboard and the heart-shaped cage he featured on his most recent tour.

'As Justin does new things with his stage sets, we'll be coming out with matching toys,' Vorkas assured us. (The stage sets and tour bus will go for a whopping $79.99.)

And that's not the only way the company plans to evolve with the ever-changing pop phenom. While the 2011 doll features a variety of Bieber-inspired accessories and outfits, collectors and/or purse string-opening parents can also expect ever-changing fashions from the 'Baby' singer. As Vorkas told MTV News, 'When Justin changes into a new outfit, we'll also be coming out with that outfit.'

Justin Bieber Reveals Birthday Plans, Talks Haircut

Justin Bieber Reveals Birthday Plans, Talks Haircut: "

'I'm just going to relax,' singer says of his plans.
By Jocelyn Vena

We imagine what Justin will be doing on his birthday

Photo: Getty Images

Justin Bieber turns 17 on March 1, and he's revealing what his plans are for the big day.

'I only have, like, four days, so I'm just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on [March 4] -- so just going to mentally prepare and just relax,' Justin told 'Entertainment Tonight.' 'No birthday bash. ... Hopefully my grandparents will be out here and I'll be able to spend time, a little bit, with them. My grandma makes the best cheesecake -- cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday.'

Of course, Bieber's birthday isn't the only thing making headlines these days. His new haircut has also been causing quite the hoopla, but Bieber seems to be brushing it off. 'I just wanted to [cut my hair], that's all. Not really a big reason; I just woke up and said, 'I don't want this anymore,' so I just cut it,' he said. 'It's not really about that. You know, the fans really liked it, but they'll like me no matter what, because I think it's about the music. I'm really excited to see what the fans overseas think and take it day by day.'

Bieber will re-release his 3-D flick 'Never Say Never' this weekend. 'It's 40 minutes of extra footage, so it's basically like a new movie,' he says. 'It's real exciting, because it shows me and my friends more and it shows a different part of the concert, so it's going to be great. Hopefully all the fans will go back and watch it.'

Next week, in addition to his birthday, Bieber will also kick off his European tour. 'I'm excited to see what [Willow Smith] brings to the table,' he said. 'We start on March 4, so she's really excited, and she told me that she can't wait -- and she's adorable -- so I can't wait.

'I have such great people around me and such good family,' he added. 'I just want to be a good role model to people, and to be able to just make good music. ... I'm going to make mistakes, but it's about learning from them and becoming better. ... My movie shows that anything is possible and dreams do come true. ... Remember to always stay humble and always be gracious and anything can happen.'

Justin Bieber's 17th Birthday Bash: What Would You Plan?: "

Event planners imagine what kind of party they'd throw the superstar.
By Jocelyn Vena

Justin Bieber is about to reach another milestone in his life: On Tuesday (March 1), the teen star turns 17. Already, he's had hit albums and singles, a world tour and a successful concert documentary, so he definitely has a reason to celebrate. As he gears up for the fun, MTV News asked some party planners to weigh in on what kind of bash they would throw for the pop superstar.

'I think, knowing that he's such a fan of purple, I would create a purple Willy Wonka fantasy party,' said Bruce Starr, who works at BMF Media Group in New York. 'I think we'd do it in L.A. on a studio lot and have the Oompa Loompas in purple. We'd recreate this extravagant fantasy world.'

Starr said he'd have a female DJ on the decks, but also would have some musical surprises up his sleeve. "We'd have a surprise stage, and without telling him, work with his friends and have them do surprise sets for him," he explained. "The party would have just friends and family, about 250 or 300 or 400 people tops — really intimate."

There would even be a fan element to the party. 'I think we would do huge screens for all the people who couldn't be there. We'd have surprise music videos from them, and throughout the candy land, there'd be screens with tweets from his fans,' he added.

Taylor Choi, event consultant for Gansevoort Hotel Group, explained that she'd have the perfect Big Apple hot spot for the party. 'For him, I would do something more fun and exciting,' she mused. 'I would do more like bowling or video games, some sort of 3-D type party with more technology-type stuff for him.'

So, what types of social media would that include? 'A social-media kiosk where people can take photos,' she explained. 'I would do karaoke and do something more fun and interactive. I would have a fun DJ and a fun live performance because a performance would be fun.'

As for the venue, Choi said: 'If he was in New York, I would throw it in the Gansevoort Park Avenue where we could do a 3-D installation. We can do a performance over the pool. We would deck it out for him with three floors. I'd serve cupcakes, hot dogs, burgers.

'I would have like 200 of his closest friends,' she added. 'I would definitely do 3-D stuff. He'd have fun with a small group of friends:
private, intimate, nothing too crazy. Have his friends perform a song for him.'

While it seems these planners would throw elaborate bashes for the star, Bieber recently revealed that he's hoping for a low-key affair.

"I only have, like, four days, so I'm just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on [March 4] — so just going to mentally prepare and just relax," Bieber explained. "No birthday bash.
... Hopefully my grandparents will be out here, and I'll be able to spend time, a little bit, with them. My grandma makes the best cheesecake — cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday."

Ever wonder what you might get Justin Bieber for his 17th birthday? Well, the pop star has the answer. In honor of his big day, he's working with the nonprofit Charity: Water, requesting that his fans donate money to the cause that brings clean water to developing nations.

'I have had an incredible year and it is all due to the fans helping me live my dream. I'm turning 17 years old on Tuesday [March 1] and have so much to be grateful for!' Bieber wrote on the charity's website. 'So this year, I really want my birthday to be all about helping others. Instead of asking for gifts, I'm asking friends, family and fans to consider donating $17 for my 17th birthday to help make a change,' he continued. 'One hundred percent of all donations go directly to building clean water projects in developing countries with Charity: Water, and we'll be able to see photos and GPS of the projects we helped build!'

The teen star then gave his fans some facts about why they should get involved. "Together, we've made a big difference for many causes. Did you know that about 4,500 kids die each day from waterborne disease?" he shared. "By building clean water projects for villages that need them, we can prevent this! I want to make my birthday matter this year — let's make it so more kids can grow up to have a 17th birthday like me. Join me to make a change.

"I'm really so grateful for my family, friends and fans — and I believe we can do something big to help bring clean water to people in need," he added. "Even if you don't have $17 to give, I just ask you to go out in your community and try and make a positive difference. Even the smallest act of kindness can go a long way. Thanks and God Bless! #makeachange."

As it turns out, his call has already been answered by his fans. Charity: Water tweeted, ' Thanks to all you Beliebers, we hit $7 million raised on mycharity: water today! #makeachange.'

Justin Bieber Lands Two Albums In Billboard Top Five: "

The feat marks the first time this accomplishment has been achieved since last year, when Bieber also had two albums in the top five.
By Gil Kaufman

Justin Bieber has become such a musical sales force that now the only competition left is, well, Justin Bieber. After landing the #1 album last week with his Never Say Never - The Remixes, Bieber had to settle for #2 this week to make room for Adele's 21. But the rush of attention on the now-17-year-old pop star thanks to his big-screen debut in 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' helped propel his nearly year-old My World 2.0 back into the top five at #5, a feat that Billboard Associate Director of Charts Keith Caulfield said was a 'very big deal.'

In fact, Bieber is the first artist to have two albums in the top five at the same time since he achieved the same feat nearly a year ago. The last time it happened was in March of 2010 when 2.0 debuted at #1 while the singer's debut, My World, was at #5. Caulfield said that before that, it hadn't happened since October 2004 when rapper Nelly's simultaneous album release of Sweat and Suit both crashed the top five at #1 and #2.

If you go back to the last artist to do it without releasing two new albums at the same time, you have to look to May 2003, when 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin' was at #5 and his The New Breed CD/DVD debuted at #2.

'Any way you look at it, it's unusual,' said Caulfield, noting that even with all their success on the charts lately, not even Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift have notched that achievement. 'It helps that you have four Bieber albums to choose from on the charts right now.'

Last week, shortly after the haircut heard 'round the world, Justin Bieber gave a lock of his famous hair to Ellen DeGeneres. The talk-show host graciously took the gift and promised to auction if off and give all the proceeds to charity.

In addition to the lock of hair, Bieber also signed a plastic box in which the hair would be kept. On Wednesday (March 2), 98 bids later, the Bieber memorabilia had sold for $40,668. All the proceeds from the hair will go to the Gentle Barn Foundation, a California-based animal-rights organization.

When Bieber appeared on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' to give the talk-show host the hair, he reassured her that it was, in fact, his. 'Yes, it's really my hair, but there's a perk: I wanted to do something good. I'm giving pieces of it to different people,' he explained during the February 23 appearance. 'The thing is, we're doing something special. We want you to donate it to whatever charity you want.'

He also joked about what inspired him to cut off his signature locks. 'I was inspired by yours,' Bieber laughed. 'Yeah [people were freaking out], but I was like, 'I don't really care.' '

Perez Hilton was also one of the lucky hair recipients. On February 22, the blogger wrote, 'Not only did Justin Bieber get a haircut, but the teen phenom tells us that he is going to be divvying up his shorn locks to help raise money for different charities. And, he's giving Perez some of his hair to auction off! We're working it all out now, and we can't wait to tell you what good we hope to do with Bieber's hair!'

Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Just Latest Celebrity/Paparazzi Encounter

Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Just Latest Celebrity/Paparazzi Encounter: "

Big-name stars like Justin Timberlake, Kanye West and Britney Spears have also had tense run-ins with photographers.
By Jocelyn Vena

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

For many celebrities, their relationship with the prying lens of the paparazzi has always been love/hate. Some bask in the attention and others complain of being hounded relentlessly by hungry photographers. This week, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were caught up in a paparazzi kerfuffle while celebrating the Biebs' 17th birthday in Los Angeles.

After giving the paps the finger during the encounter, Bieber later apologized via Twitter. But he's only the latest in a long history of celebrity/celebrity-photographer encounters: Everyone from Lily Allen to Coldplay's Chris Martin to Sean Penn (the king of paparazzi knockdowns) has had heated moments with the paps. Here, we look back at some of the more memorable run-ins.

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz

Like Bieber and Gomez, then-couple Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz were involved in a scuffle with the paps in 2006. Diaz claimed a photographer tried to run her over, while the photographer claimed the actors had trapped him as he was trying to get away.

Björk in Bangkok

Björk lashed out a photographer at Bangkok airport in 1996, attacking a female photog who was trying to take pictures of her as she made her way through the airport. Things quickly got physical. The singer also attacked a paparazzo in 2008 in New Zealand, also at an airport, ripping his shirt.

Britney Spears and an Umbrella

During a more trying time in Britney Spears' life, the singer, who had recently shaved her head, attacked a paparazzo's SUV as a pack of photographers looked on. Using an umbrella to carry out the attack, it was believed that Britney was feeling the pressure of the prying paparazzi lens when she wailed on that car in 2007.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry

In 2010, Russell Brand attacked several paparazzi while he and his soon-to-be-wife Katy Perry made their way through LAX. Brand was convinced the photogs were tying to sneak inappropriate pics of Perry.

Kanye West and the Bodyguard

Kanye also had a moment with paps at an airport. West and his bodyguard Don Crowley got into a physical altercation with a photographer in 2008 at LAX. Both he and Crowley were accused of ruining camera equipment after a photog attempted to take the rapper's photo.

Insiders say film could get nominated in documentary category at next year's Oscars.

The kid is hot. First, Justin Bieber became the first person since, well, himself to land two albums in the top five on the Billboard 200, and now his 3-D movie, 'Never Say Never,' has vaulted into the #3 position on the list of top-grossing documentaries of all time.

According to Box Office Mojo, 'Never' has grossed $64,162,036 to date, putting it on track to possibly overtake the #2 doc of all time, 'March of the Penguins,' which grossed more than $77 million. It's unlikely to knock off the top documentary of all time, Michael Moore's 2004 flick 'Fahrenheit 9/11,' which rolled up $119 million, but with the 'Never' director's cut re-release last weekend (which brought in another $9 million), Bieber is positioned to conquer yet another medium.

In his run to the top, Bieber has leaped over such lauded and popular docs as 'Super Size Me,' Madonna's 'Truth or Dare,' Moore's 'Bowling for Columbine,' former Vice President Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Truth' and the nature flick 'Earth.' It also took the crown for the biggest opening weekend of any documentary, with a $29.5 million first weekend, squeezing past the $23 million open of 'Fahrenheit.'

Hollywood may end up catching Bieber Fever as well, with The Hollywood Reporter asking in a recent article whether 'Never' could land the 17-year-old phenom a spot at the Oscars next year. A source told the trade magazine that 'Never' had serious buzz at some post-Oscar parties thanks to its healthy grosses, which have impressed some Academy members.

'You'd be surprised at the caliber of people who came up to Justin at the Vanity Fair party at the Sunset Tower, most of whom had seen the movie and loved it,' said an unnamed insider. 'There was even talk of putting it up for an Oscar next year in the documentary category. People appreciate that it's not just a kids' movie.' The article mentioned that Bieber was one of the brightest stars at the Fair party, chatting up Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and working the room like a pro.

This month alone his hairdo led to some healthy debate and then, earlier this week, it was learned that a lock of Bieber's famous hair sold at auction for $40,668 (the proceeds went to charity).

When MTV News caught up with Bieber's hairstylist, Vanessa Price, she admitted that she was surprised the hair sold for that much money, but grateful that someone had the funds to help the Gentle Barn Foundation, an animal rescue organization in California.

'It's great and it's for charity and how great is it that we have something that's disposable that's worth something,' she said. 'It's a lot of money, but like I said, we're just so lucky that that's happened.'

The star's shorn locks might end up doing a lot of good, but fans couldn't initially get over Bieber's decision to lop off those famous swooping bangs.

'We knew it was going to be a big deal,' Price explained. 'We knew it was going to shock fans, but we also knew it was going to be a change in terms of growing up. I think that's something that people adjust to.

'We'd been talking about it for a while and shared some ideas, but literally the day off he was adamant about the haircut. He amped himself up for it,' Price continued, before describing his momentary hesitation. 'The minute we started cutting, he was like, 'Wait, wait, wait.' He loves it. He's enjoying it.'

Girls certainly have always been drawn to Bieber because of that signature 'do (which she calls the 1.0), but Price says that his camp quickly got over any PR doubts that arose when the idea of the haircut was brought to them. 'I mean, I'm not gonna say that everyone was 100 percent onboard,' she revealed. 'But they trusted in Justin's style and my abilities and they kind of held their breath.'

These days, Bieber has readjusted his styling techniques for the shorter look. 'With his hair before he didn't require any product. It was super-easy and now that it was cut shorter and choppier, he wanted to be able to experiment,' she explained. 'I'm not around all the time, but I definitely groomed him into learning how to do his own hair.

'I don't know if it's more work but I told him it's the 'we don't care haircut, just do it haircut,' ' she continued. 'The 1.0 version, it was cut a certain direction, it was cut to style. He's loving it right now and he's liking experimenting, so I think we'll just see that it's a natural evolution for any young adult.'

Price says she's only had positive feedback from his dedicated legion of Beliebers, much to her relief. 'The only things I've heard were positive, so that makes me really happy because the fans were taken into consideration,' she said. 'They're a huge part. Without them, we wouldn't be here. Since that haircut I have a fan club now. It's all positive.'

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez hit Twitter over the weekend and the world let out a collective, 'Awwww!'

The Biebs, who recently took his act to Europe for his tour, seemed like he was missing his lady love and was not afraid to show it. On Sunday, he tweeted this simple message for Gomez: 'I miss you.'

Selena didn't let the post go unnoticed, as she very publicly responded to her beau's online note just hours later. 'I miss all of y'all,' she wrote.

When he wasn't busy flirting with his lady on Twitter, Bieber was busy tweeting a series of lyrical snippets from Drake songs after posting a note that read, 'favorite drizzy lines.' He also solicited fans' favorite lines from the Canadian MC's tracks.

Among the Drake tracks Bieber tweeted quotes from were 'Successful,' 'Shut It Down,' 'The Resistance' and 'Over.'

'I want it all thats y I strive 4 it, Diss me and you'll never hear a reply 4 it,' he wrote. 'This lost boy got fly without Peter Pan and my delivery just got me buzzing like the pizza man ... Justin Bieber is in Liverpool, England, on Thursday (March 10) for his world tour, and his fans are very happy about it, which might explain why they've gathered in an abundance outside his hotel room.

A rep for the Merseyside Police department confirmed to MTV News that there are 'large number of fans' outside Bieber's hotel, though she 'wouldn't say it's a riot situation, yet.' Funny enough, this is all going down at the Hard Days Night Hotel, named after the movie that chronicled the Beatles' encounters with mobs of fans.

'Merseyside Police has been called to North John Street in Liverpool City Centre to ensure control of a crowd that has gathered outside the Hard Days Night Hotel. North John Street has been closed to traffic and police would urge the public to avoid the area if possible,' a statement sent to MTV News reads. 'Officers are working with the management of the hotel and with Justin Bieber's security team to ensure his safety, the safety of other guests and of the crowd.'

According to TMZ, in order to keep the peace, Bieber's camp is following police orders. And though the gossip site said arrests could be made if anyone in his camp tried to elicit further response from the fans by going on the balcony, the police said, 'Merseyside Police has at no time threatened to arrest Justin Bieber or members of his management team.'

Bieber himself was the first to expose the craziness online when he posted a photo of his fans, gathered in droves outside his hotel. 'This is crazy. There are like thousands of people out there. love everybody but gonna try and get some sleep. please dont scream. Lol,' he tweeted and later reiterated, 'THIS IS CRAZY!'

This is hardly the first time Bieber has had his fans in a frenzy. He caused quit a stir during a trip to the mall in Kitchener, Ontario, on Boxing Day in December. Prior to that he had to shut down an appearance at a Long Island area mall in late 2009, followed by a canceled in-store signing in Paris in February 2010. He caused Bieber Fever in Australia and New Zealand last April and had fans all worked up in September, when he stopped by an Edmonton, Alberta, Hooters for some grub.

The world is still reacting to the news of an 8.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Japan on Friday (March 11). The devastating quake triggered a 10-meter tsunami that now threatens Pacific coastal areas including Hawaii and the West Coast of the United States. Celebrities have taken to Twitter to share their love and support for those affected by the natural disaster.

'I'm sending my thoughts and prayers and love to those in Japan who are hurting,' Taylor Swift tweeted. Fellow pop princess Katy Perry shared a similar sentiment, writing, 'My prayers go out to anyone that is being effected by the disaster in Japan. #prayforjapan.'

Selena Gomez, who was just in the country, took to Facebook to express her concern. 'Wow, I don't even know what to say, Japan. I was just there and you were all so wonderful to me,' she wrote. 'I am sending all my love, prayers and support.'

Justin Bieber also tweeted about the news. 'Japan is one of my favorite places on earth. ... It's an incredible culture with amazing people. My prayers go out to them. We all need to help.' He added, '#prayforjapan.'

'Our hearts and prayers are with all of our BSB family in Japan. We love you all so much. Please try to stay safe. ... Kisses and hugs from us!' the Backstreet Boys tweeted, with their tourmates New Kids on the Block adding, 'Our thoughts are with all those around the world affected by the earthquake in Japan.'

'American Idol' host Ryan Seacrest wrote on Twitter, 'Glued to TV watching this unreal earthquake footage out of Japan. Sending prayers to everyone affected. Unbelievable.'

As the weather threatens his home state of Hawaii, the president tweeted a strong message of support. "Sending condolences to the people of Japan, particularly those who lost loved ones in the earthquake & tsunamis. U.S. stands ready to help."

'Glee' stars Lea Michele and Amber Riley also had kind words for those affected. Michele tweeted, "So devastating to hear about the huge earthquake & tsunami [in] Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there." Riley added, 'Omg my heart goes out to Japan. I pray this devastation stops.'

Embattled actress Lindsay Lohan even seemed overwhelmed by the news, writing, 'My mommy just woke my sister and i up to this! god bless those that are in fear.'

'The images on the news are breaking my heart,' Paris Hilton wrote online. 'I am so worried for everyone in Japan. My thoughts are with you Japan. God bless you all.'

The weekend that Justin Bieber cut his hair, he also shot the music video for his 'That Should Be Me' remix, featuring country band Rascal Flatts. This weekend, the full music video premiered, and it shows off that very famous cut.

The video is a meta-statement on making videos. The guys of Rascal Flatts pull up to the studio while Bieber sits in a room practicing the track. Bieber and the band sit and rehearse the song before they are brought to the room to shoot the lo-fi performance video.

We see the camera and lights filming the guys, who stand in front of a white backdrop performing the song. Bieber is occasionally seen in the sparse room alone singing the track, dressed in black. Shots of the finished performance are edited with those of Bieber and the band rehearsing the track, off his Never Say Never - The Remixes album, which was released last month. The video ends with Bieber walking off the set.

'They flipped out,' lead singer Gary LeVox said of bringing his daughters to the set the day of the shoot with the teen star. 'Brittany ended up singing one of his songs to him. He was hugging them and was so sweet to them. I've even got a low-grade Bieber fever. I think I'm in the running for dad of the year.'

Bieber also tweeted about the video's runaway success on Sunday, writing, 'And just saw... #ThatShouldBeMe vid with @rascalflatts is now #1 on ITUNES!! Thank u all so much. We are very proud of that song. #MuchLove.'

NEW YORK — Justin Bieber's wax statues are here! Three statues were unveiled at Madame Tussauds wax museums around the world, in New York, Amsterdam and London. Bieber was on hand in London to catch a glimpse of his wax likeness. And, as promised, the statues feature Bieber's old, swooping hairstyle.

At the London unveiling, Bieber tweeted about how excited he was for the wax statues. 'Arrived at @tussaudslondon to see my WAX figure!! the 1st time i saw a wax figure was in nyc and all we could do was look thru the glass,' he wrote. 'Now we are here in London and they r about to show my figure here and in amsterdam and in nyc at the one we looked thru the glass. #DREAMBIG.'

Bieber's statue in New York is featured alongside his pal and mentor Usher in the VIP room. The NYC Bieber statue is wearing a black vest by and pants by Balenciaga. The clothes were donated by Bieber himself. MTV News was on hand at the New York unveiling, where fans eagerly caught a glimpse of their idol's figurine.

So how accurate is the wax figure? 'It's pretty good. I love Justin Bieber, and this is pretty hot,' gushed Libby Walker, who said she also attended the Miley Cyrus wax-figure unveiling in 2008. 'He cut his hair recently, so it's not exactly the same, but I like his hair. A lot of girls like it more with the hair flip. It's such an honor to be here to support him.'

"I'm honored to be getting my own wax figures," Bieber previously said about joining fellow pop stars like Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers at Madame Tussauds. "To be immortalized in wax alongside some of my idols — Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyoncé and my mentor, Usher — is incredibly exciting and very cool."

When Selena Gomez stopped by 'Late Show' to chat about her latest single, 'Who Says,' David Letterman couldn't resist bringing up Justin Bieber's name. And while she wasn't too forthcoming with details, she did give some insight into why she cares so much for her boyfriend.

'Oh, that's cute,' she said when showed a picture of the teens at the Vanity Fair Oscar party last month. 'It was like a little prom night, wasn't it? Looked like it.'

Letterman then wondered how long she and Bieber have known one another. She said, 'Almost, like, two years now.' Letterman pressed further, asking how they met. 'Actually, his manager called my mom, who's my manager,' she explained, before Letterman joked, 'I heard he was your paperboy.'

'I'm blushing!' she said.

'Are you dating or not dating?' Letterman asked again, and Selena danced around the answer. 'He's been in my life for so long, and it's just nice to have someone that understands what you're going through.'

'This is not my first rodeo, you can talk to me about these things,' Letterman quipped as she laughed. Then he promised not to go any further in his Bieber-related questioning.

Both stars have been as quiet as possible about the true nature of their relationship, though they have been spotted out on dates together. Earlier this month, Gomez was by Bieber's side as he celebrated his 17th birthday. And while on tour abroad, Bieber tweeted a message to her, noting how much he missed her.

'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' has outgrossed MJ's 'This Is It' in U.S.
By Gil Kaufman

Michael Jackson may have dubbed himself the King of Pop, but the late icon didn't hold the box-office crown for long. Less than a year after the posthumous MJ documentary 'This Is It' became the most successful concert-themed film in U.S. history, Justin Bieber is poised to snatch the mantle.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' has earned $72.2 million in domestic box office so far, passing Jackson's $72.1 million haul. And while Bieber has racked up those impressive numbers in just six weeks, he's got a long way to go before he laps the global receipts for the MJ doc.

'This Is It' has grossed $189.1 million overseas for a global total of $261.2 million. Music films don't typically play well overseas, and THR noted that 'Never Say Never' has grossed a more modest $10.8 million overseas so far, with Paramount executives predicting that it could top out around $20 million internationally.

The impressive U.S. numbers were likely goosed by the re-release of the film recently with 40 additional minutes of bonus footage from director Jon M. Chu. Bieber still has a little way to go to climb the list of the top-grossing documentaries of all time. 'Never Say Never' is currently stalled out at the #3 position, around $5 million behind 'March of the Penguins,' according to Box Office Mojo, and well short of the all-time record held by Michael Moore's 'Fahrenheit 9/11,' which has taken in $119.1 million to date.

Bieber set off a classic MJ-style fan frenzy a few weeks ago when he visited Liverpool, England, for his world tour. And just a week later, he posed with his new wax figure at London's Madame Tussauds, checking off another item on the list of milestones to an MJ-like career.

Some of pop music's biggest artists, including Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, are lending their tunes for a good cause. On Monday (March 21), it was announced that Universal Music is rushing out a digital-only compilation album to raise awareness and funds for those affected by the 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan.

While the lineup and track list have yet to be finalized, other chart-toppers expected to be featured on the release include U2 and Bon Jovi. Lady Gaga may also appear on the album. Proceeds from sales will go to the Japanese Red Cross.

'We are doing it only digitally because it is faster, and this will be a worldwide release. The plan is to have it available later this week,' a spokesperson for Universal Music said.

In order to maximize proceeds, the record label plans to find more acts willing to waive royalties that would have come from having their tracks appear on the compilation.

Universal Music is not the only music-industry player reaching to support Japan disaster relief. Most recently, the Black Eyed Peas announced that the music video for their tune 'Just Can't Get Enough' would be used to promote awareness and funds for victims of the tragic event. The clip, which was shot in Japan one week before the earthquake and tsunami hit, finds the BEP bandmates traveling throughout Toyko.

Earlier this month, Lady Gaga designed a special prayer bracelet with all proceeds going to relief efforts. In just two days, the pop singer and her legion of little monsters raised more than $250,000.

Aside from his latest controversy, Chris Brown is back with F.A.M.E., which stands for 'Forgiving All My Enemies' and 'Fans Are My Everything.' On the new album, Brown has some choice features from stars such as Lil Wayne, Tyga, Ludacris and Justin Bieber.

'Working with Wayne is always incredible,' said Brown, whose 'Beautiful People' video premiered Tuesday on MTV's 'The Seven.' 'I've had Wayne on every single album I've done. ... Being able to work with these guys is incredible. I build most of my collaborations off of just the relationships that I've built with these guys over the years and then new relationships, like Justin Bieber.'

Brown told MTV News that it was awesome getting Bieber on board for 'Next 2 You.' Brown became interested in featuring the teen star on his album after the duo worked on the remix to Bieber's track 'Up,' which was featured on Never Say Never - The Remixes.

'Being able to collab with [Bieber] was great,' Brown said. 'He's a young, energetic cat, so being able to work with him, with the fanbase he has, was incredible. I know a lot of little girls are going to love this record.

"I wouldn't say [he's] my protégé. He's doing his thing at a young age, and I was doing mine at a young age, so being able to see him come up is dope."

Brown explained that the two of them didn't quite get into the studio together, however.

"I actually stood him up on accident," Brown recalled. "He was kind of mad ... I was all the way on the other side of town handling some business, 'girl business,' and I was rushing back, and by that time, he's like, 'Man, I'm leaving, bro. I did it — just check it out.' And I looked at it and listened to it and I was like, 'Man, this is crazy.' ... He's a great kid."

Needless to say, Justin Bieber has a lot fans. From Kanye West to Kim Kardashian to nearly every teenage girl in the world, Bieber has amassed quite a dedicated following. But he seems to have picked up a rather odd fan along the way as well.

Odd Future's Tyler, the Creator has Bieber Fever in a big way. In fact, the MC has called the teenage Canuck his idol. In the days leading up to the premiere of Bieber's 3-D movie, 'Never Say Never,' Tyler could be found online tweeting down the days until its release. So of course, when the two finally met late last month, Tyler was excited.

Two photos emerged of the two together, one blurry and the other showing the teen sensations posing side-by-side. When MTV News caught up with Tyler — and the rest of Odd Future — at South by Southwest, he still had a huge smile on his face.

'We [were] kicking it with him for like 10, 20 minutes. He's a chill dude. First thing he was like, 'Oh, I just finished talking about your video, that sh-- was crazy,' Tyler said. 'He just started asking me questions about my sh--, and it was kind of weird because I was going to ask him sh--. But he was intrigued enough [about] what we had going on.'

He also said he showed the Biebs how to pose for their photo. Initially, Bieber threw up the peace sign, but Tyler convinced him to swag it out another way. Bieber was really chill and Tyler hopes they'll hang out soon.

'I want to take him egging cars and f---ing sh-- up and paintball and just go skate and go do fun sh-- that I feel like he hasn't been able to do,' the MC said.
