Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie — the ex and and former Mrs. Brad Pitt — circled each other during the Critics’ Choice Awards at the Palladium on Sunset Blvd. on Thursday.

They got through the night without any direct contact, but came close a few times, sources said.

“Angelina mingled with other attendees while Jennifer stayed focused on Justin (Theroux),” said one eagle-eyed spy. “Everyone was looking to see if they’d talk.”

Jolie, dressed in a silver gown, stayed cool as Aniston, clad in a low-cut pantsuit, sat just three tables away.

The duo have not been at the same awards show in six years, and famously have never spoken publicly since Jolie and Aniston's then-husband Pitt filmed “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” together in 2004 and fell in love.

In 2005, they were snapped on a getaway in Africa with Jolie’s son Maddox, confirming to the world they were a couple.

Another source at the show said each actress’ team made a concerted effort to keep them apart — but the pair almost bumped into each other a few times.

“They made lots of effort to avoid running into each other,” said one source.

This is the first time Pitt's past and present partners were in the same room since the 2009 Oscars, but according to the mag, they were on opposite sides of the ballroom for the duration of the event.

Aniston was most likely unfazed by the "Unbroken" director's attendance at the award show as she recently spoke out about moving on from her high-profile divorce from Pitt.

"I don't find it painful," she told "CBS Sunday Morning" when asked if it was difficult that the split still follows her around 10 years later.

Aniston also went on to reveal whether or not she stays in touch with her former husband.

"We've exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but not a constant thing."
